Should we treat domestic violence like we treat terrorism?

Spending on domestic violence prevention in this year's budget was dwarfed by funds apportioned for fighting terrorism. Yet in the last three decades more than 1,500 women have been killed by intimate partners in Australia, compared with nine people killed in acts of terrorism. Is it time to change our approach?
